January 25, 2024, ( A new study has revealed that Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao was the most popular personality within the cryptocurrency industry.

The study was conducted by the cryptocurrency tax software CoinLedgerCombined social media followings of both X and Instagram reveal the most popular cryptocurrency worldwide.

Changpeng Zhao, the most popular personality within the cryptocurrency industry, has a combined social following of over nine million (9.071,000) across both X (X) and Instagram (9.071,000). More than 8,6 million of Zhao’s followers are from X. This is the highest number of any character in the platform. Zhao is co-founder and CEO at Binance. Binance will be the world’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume in July 2022.

Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, is the second most well-known personality in cryptocurrency. His social media followers total 7.7 million. The Ethereum co-founder has 2.7 million Instagram followers, making him the most popular personality.

Block Inc. CEO Jack Dorsey was ranked third, with a combined following of social media of 6,400,000. After deleting his Instagram account, all of his followers came from X. Dorsey was the co-founder of Twitter and previously its CEO, before selling it to Elon Musk.

Michael Saylor is the executive chairman and co-founder at MicroStrategy. He is the fourth most well-known personality in cryptocurrency. The American entrepreneur is followed by over 3.2 millions (3,244,000), with 3.1 of those coming from X.

Cathie wood, CEO of investment firm Ark Invest, ranked 5th with a social media following totaling more than 1.6 millions. Wood was named by Bloomberg as one of the 50 people who are shaping global business.

Chamath Palihapitiya has a following of 1.6 Million on social media, all of whom are on X. Palihapitiya started investing in Bitcoin in the early 2000s and at one stage held 5% or more of Bitcoin’s circulating stock.

Marc Andreesen has a social media audience of 1.3 millions, making him the seventh most popular personality in cryptocurrency. Andreesen was a cofounder of the venture capital firm Andreessen-Horowitz and an inductee into the World Wide Web Hall of Fame.

Barry Silbert is the eighth-most famous person in cryptocurrency. His social media following totals more than 1.25 millions (1,252,400). He is the 2nd most followed personality on Instagram. With 493,000 followers. And he is the founder, CEO, and co-founder of the blockchain firm Digital Currency Group.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong (1.204.547) ranked ninth. Armstrong also cofounded GiveCrypto. This platform encourages the giving of cryptocurrency to people who would otherwise not have access to finance opportunities.

Sam Bankman-Fried (1 066,300) ranked tenth despite his fraud convictions.

Tyler Winklevoss (1.058.000) and his twin Cameron (767.800) were also ranked among the top 15. The brothers co-founded HarvardConnection, later renamed ConnectU, with Harvard classmate Divya Naraindra. In 2004, the brothers filed a lawsuit against Mark Zuckerberg for allegedly stealing their ConnectU idea in order to create the popular social networking site.

Many of the names featured in this study have helped popularize the cryptocurrency sector.” Their influence is what has allowed hundreds of millions to invest in cryptocurrency.
